YOUNG volunteers from an Abbots Langley church returned from Egypt, where they have been running holidays for disadvantaged children.
The teenagers, led by Mr Alan Penry and his wife Jane, from The Ark Community Church, which is based in the village, organised the summer camp holidays for 100 children from Cairo.
The team flew out to Cairo at the end of July for this year's venture, organised as part of the church's Children of the World projects.
Transport was arranged to take the children from their harsh environment to the Sinai Coast, where they were able to swim, play and enjoy other activities organised by the volunteers.
For information about the church's activities, telephone Mr Penry on 07801 677248.
