HARPENDEN'S Mark Crowley had double reason to celebrate at the weekend after setting a new personal best in the pole vault and gaining selection for the senior Great Britain team for the first time.
The 19-year-old will fly out with the squad on Friday, September 6, to compete in a special match to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of the Barcelona Olympics.
On Sunday (August 18), the Enfield and Haringey athlete justified his position in the squad after jumping 2.16m in a National Junior League match, setting a personal best and a new junior league record in the process.
