HORNETS boss Gianluca Vialli will officially open Herts Careers Services' (HCS) new corporate premises at Delta House in Letchworth on Thursday, April 11.
He will be accompanied by Watford FC's General Manager Terry Byrne, who will speak about the club's role in the community and its partnership working with HCS. Guests will get the chance to see some of the work HCS is involved in, including joint Watford FC/HCS/Connexions initiatives like the Connexions bus which was at Delta House for the day.
Sponsored by Watford FC and Connexions and managed by HCS the double-decker bus is fitted with 10 computers and is a mobile outreach facility providing 13-19 year old youngsters with educational, training, careers, employment, social and personal advice.
It is manned by a team of trained personal advisers and visits town centres, schools and youth groups as well as Watford FC's Learning Centre based at the Vicarage Road Stadium.
HCS moved to Delta House in October 2001 as part of its reorganisation programme and delivers services from a number of satellite centres around the county. The company also has a new Chief Executive, Shaun Reason, formerly Head Teacher of Marriotts School in Stevenage, along with a newly-appointed
