RICKMANSWORTH maintained their incredible unbeaten start to the season when they handed Royston second XI a 5-0 drubbing in a one-sided affair.

The match was totally dominated by Ricky and the only reason they did not manage to get a double figure score was their failure to convert more of their short corners. Such was the home side's dominanace Broadmeadow, deputising in goal, never had a save to make and only touched the ball to recover it for the sixteens.

Ricky controlled the match from the beginning and moved the ball with great confidence. The first goal took time to come but Charlie C-J took his opportunity with great gusto.

Alan Eldridge's pace enabled him to steal a march on his young defender to get a well-taken second before the break.

With "Birdy" working hard and Steve Mason showing off his silky skills in midfield, Ricky continued to create a host of opportunities.

As a result, Steve Mander scored his first goal for the club and a great tactical switch allowed Smithy to score his first.

Eldridge managed to finish off the game, and Ricky's ninth win, from the team's 25th short corner.
