Borehamwood 2000 U13s continued their pursuit of the league title in a thrilling game against Comet Cobras.
Richard Russell gave Wood the lead after some unselfish work by Luke O'Malley, and, with Andy Boyle and Nick Martin controlling midfield, Wood spurned several chances to extend their lead.
In the second half, the Comets equalised, but Russell struck again a few minutes later.
The Comets surged forward in search of a share of the points, but Wood's goalkeeper, Jack Newman, held them at bay.
