TWO former child workers at a north Watford children's home, charged with indecency, were again remanded in their absence until April 8 at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court last Thursday.
They were William Francis McGough, 47, of Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, and Derek Russell Duker, 69, of Clifton Road, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
McGough faces 12 charges of indecency between January 1, 1972, and December 31, 1977, nine of indecently assaulting males, one indecently assaulting a female and two offences of gross indecency.
Duker is accused of seven offences of indecent assault, four on males and three on females, between October 5, 1966, and December 31, 1973, all at Gisburne House, Gammon's Lane.
Both men who have been allowed conditional bail, have been ordered not to contact any of the alleged victims, all of whom are now adults.
Duker is said to have run the home in the 1970's and McGough was a worker.
