THE ambulance service which covers south west Hertfordshire has been re-organised on a regional basis covering the whole of East Anglia.
A new six-county organisation, the East of England Ambulance Service, has taken over from the old trust which covered Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Chief executive Chris Carney pledged all ambulances would continue to be operated from their current bases by staff with local knowledge.
