A charity coffee morning at Hertsmere Borough Council raised more than £230 for Help for Heroes.
Council officers baked their own cakes and made colleagues cups of tea in exchange for a donation to Mayor Linda Silver's (Conservative, Bushey Heath) charity of the year.
A total of £235 was raised at the Civic Offices, in Elstree Way, Borehamwood, last Friday, July 23.
The event also marked the departure of the council's head of legal and democratic services, Jill Coule.
