Nearly £800 was raised for Help for Heroes on Wednesday as people turned out for an annual charity football tournament.
The event, at Arsenal Football Club's training ground, in Shenley, raised money for the Hertsmere Mayor and Bushey councillor Linda Silver's chosen charity.
Mayor Silver, who attended the tournament with her husband Geoffrey, said: “"It was great to see council officers and other players come together to raise money for such a good cause. The atmosphere was great from beginning to end and people were very generous.”
A signed Arsenal shirt and ball were auctioned off for £175 while the rest of the money was raised through entrance fees and refreshments.
