Another Watford Borough Councillor has announced his resignation – the second to do so in less than a week.
Labour Councillor Tanveer Taj, of Vicarage Ward, was first elected in 2008. He is leaving to begin a Masters Degree in September.
Councillor Jagtar Singh Dhindsa, Labour group leader, said: “This will be a big loss to the residents of Vicarage Ward. Over the past three and a half years he has taken up countless issues and written hundreds of letters on behalf of residents. We thank him for all he has done and wish him well in his studies and a successful career.”
A by-election will now be called.
