A MAN and woman have appeared in court following in incident in South Oxhey in which a police officer was allegedly assaulted.
Jason Clayton and Maxine Stewart appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on Tuesday, March 27, following arrests in Highlands on Sunday March 25.
Clayton, 36, from Longspring, Watford, denied trespassing at an address in the road with a baseball bat with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.
Stewart, 43, from Highlands, also denied trespassing at the same address with a baseball bat with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm as well as assaulting a police officer.
Both were remanded in custody and the case has been sent for trial at crown court.
The pair will appear at St Albans Crown Court on June 18.
