A scarecrow competition was held at a Croxley Green allotment open day this weekend.
The event was held in Barton Way on Saturday, and despite the drizzle, many people came to see the allotments, try some home-made produce or buy a jigsaw.
For the first time at the annual event, a scarecrow competition was held, which was won by a parent and child scarecrow.
Second place was taken by a female scarecrow holding a flask, and third place was given to an onion seller complete with three robins.
Paul Tublin, organiser, said: "Drizzle and an overcast sky did nothing to deter people enjoying the open morning.
"With the ever popular regulars, a tasting table using produce from the allotment, to the sale of produce and delicious home made jams, there were some new additions this year.
"The scarecrow competition was great fun and very competitive with some very innovative scarecrows including re-cycle Michael made entirely from the items we normally throw away."
