Throngs of people gathered at Bushey Rose Garden on Friday, for a tour and tea party to mark Bushey Festival.
Despite the temperamental weather, crowds congregated for the event in the High Street, sampling homemade cakes and tea and taking the opportunity to tour the well-maintained grounds.
Nik Oakley, friend of Bushey Rose Garden, said: "It was a sell-out with 50 happy guests enjoying tours with former head gardener, Paul Knott and Hertsmere landscape design officer Fiona Leadley.
"It was followed by a 'vintage tea' with plenty of sandwiches and home-made cakes served on pretty vintage china."
The event raised £150, which will be spent on a wet-weather cover for Bushey Rose Garden
