Police are appealing for information after a cyclist died after coming off his bike in Dawes Lane, Sarratt, yesterday evening.
The 50-year-old man was believed to have been cycling from Sarratt Village at around 8.30pm.
A resident saw the man on the ground and called an ambulance. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
PC Bob Hauxwell from Hertfordshire’s Road Policing Unit, said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who saw this man cycling prior to or around the time of this incident.
“He was wearing blue shorts and a red t-shirt and had brownsports sandals on. He was also wearing a silver cycling helmet and was riding a Scott Sub 30 orange coloured pedal cycle.
He is described as being quite stocky with short cropped greying hair.
“His next of kin have been informed and we would ask anyone who can help to call us on the non-emergency number 101.”
