A disused petrol filling station in north Watford could become a car sales area under new plans.

Politicians at Watford Borough Council are due to decide on proposals submitted by Watford Car Sales for the vacant site in North Western Avenue near the Dome Roundabout.

A report by planning officers said the applicants wanted to use a temporary cabin as an office and the existing forecourt to display the cars.

However it said the cars for sale are likely to be driven to the site individually and it was unlikely that there would be bulk deliveries by lorry.

Planning bosses have recommended the proposals to be approved by the council’s development control committee, which will vote on the plan on Thursday evening.
