A team from environmental health are investigating a sickness bug which has affected children in Berrygrove School, Garston.

Parents have reported their children vomiting and suffering from dizziness and headaches.

Gill Rogers’ said her nine-year-old daughter had been up all night being sick.

She added: "Half of the school is off today. We’re trying to find out if they are related but we can’t seem to find anything "If there are any kids left in school I’d be very surprised."

Watford Borough Council's environmental health team has contacted the school, in Fourth Avenue to investigate the cause of the illness.

Karen Ashton, assistant headteacher, said a lot of children had not come in to school today, but that some may have been kept at home as a precaution.

She added: “We called the health protection agency and environmental health as a precaution to make sure everything is ok.

“They are fully satisfied. We will be sending a letter out to parents today.”
