Hornets head coach Gianfranco Zola insists Huddersfield Town’s 11-game winless run in the Championship is irrelevant ahead of the Terriers’ visit to Vicarage Road.

November 10 was the last time Simon Grayson’s side celebrated a league victory when they overcame Barnsley 1-0.

Since that result they’ve drawn six of their 11 Championship matches and have slipped to 17th in the table.

Huddersfield's only victory during their poor recent run was a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup third round.

In contrast, the Hornets have won three of their last four league matches and have scored ten goals in those games.

But, despite the Terriers stuttering former, Watford boss Zola is adamant he won’t take the opposition for granted.

He said: "I don’t look at that [the opposition’s form], I don’t listen to that and I don’t believe in that. Peterborough hadn’t won in a while when they went and beat Cardiff.

"So I don’t look at their results and I know we need to focus on our performance and do well if we want to win the game."
