Talented young ice skater Bryn Done hopes to one day compete at the Winter Olympics after he finished third at the Milton Keynes Open Ice Skating competition.
The St Clement Danes School pupil, who trains twice a week at Planet Ice in Hemel Hempstead, took on eight other competitors at the Milton Keynes event and is next in action at the Southern Open IJF competition in March at Lea Valley.
Done, who lives in Chorleywood, said: "I am very proud and pleased that both my school, my parents and my coach support me with my aims to keep improving my skating skills.
"My aim is maybe one day I will be good enough to be in the Winter Olympics."
It has been a quick rise to prominence for the 12-year-old who began skating less than two years ago.
"He is a natural," his mother Michele said. "His sister went to a birthday party and Bryn went along and hired some skates. He put them on and whizzed straight off.
"At the end of that day I asked him if he wanted to take lessons, he did and it has gone from there."
