Lloyd Doyley joined a small but very select band of Watford players when he came on in the 26th minute to replace Fitz Hall in last night’s potentially priceless 1-0 win at Hull City.
The Hornets’ defender had already moved above Ross Jenkins into tenth place in the club’s all-time appearance list when he came on for Marco Cassetti in Friday’s 3-3 draw with Burnley, and last night’s substitute's role meant he became the tenth player in Hornets’ history to reach 400 appearances.
Having reached another milestone by making his first international appearance for Jamaica last week, the 30-year-old has a strong chance of finishing this season ninth on the club’s all-time list. That position is currently occupied by Wilf Rostron, who made 404 appearances for Watford.
Watford’s all-time top ten appearance makers
Luther Blissett 503
Nigel Gibbs 491

Duncan Welbourne 457

There will be reaction from Doyley in this week's Watford Observer.
