Watford head coach Gianfranco Zola has expressed sympathy for Fitz Hall after the defender was forced off with a hamstring injury last night.
Hall has been hugely influential for the Hornets this season but injuries have limited the centre half to just 21 appearances since he joined on a free transfer in the summer.
The 32-year-old returned to the team on Friday after almost two months out with a hamstring strain but lasted 26 minutes against Hull City last night.
The severity of the injury was unknown when Zola spoke to the media after the 1-0 win at the KC Stadium.
He said: "He felt his hamstring. What can I say, it is disappointing for him and it is disappointing for us as well because he is a player who we rely on a lot on.
"I feel for the boy more than anything. He wanted to be part of us until the end and give a contribution.
"Hopefully it won't be too bad but to come out at a time like this is not good for him."
