The vagaries of wartime football saw Watford face Luton Town twice on the same day in the South Regional League.
The first game at Luton in the morning resulted in a 2-2 draw; the return match in the afternoon finished 4-1 to the visitors.
Harry Lewis scored all of Watford's goals on the day, netting a penalty kick in each game.
