Beppe Sannino will not discuss players from other clubs and refused to confirm whether Fulham midfielder Derek Boateng will join Watford on loan.
Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen stated over the weekend that the Ghanaian international had been allowed to speak to Watford over a loan move until the end of the campaign.
The 30-year-old has featured once under Meulensteen - in the FA Cup against Norwich – but wants regular first team football in order to secure a place in Ghana’s World Cup squad.
Sannino was asked today if Boateng was set to join Watford and the Hornets boss replied: “His name is familiar to me but I am not talking about any players from other teams.
"When players sign for Watford I will speak about them and consider them, I need to respect the players we already have in the group.”
