Jorell Johnson has become the fourth player from Watford’s Academy to sign professional terms with the Hornets in the past week.
The central defender and Hornets Under-18’s skipper has signed a one-year deal, with the club having the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
Johnson, who missed some of the past season following ankle surgery, follows Academy teammates Alex Jakubiak, George Byers and Josh Doherty in turning professional, while another Academy product, Luke O’Nien, has also extended his stay at Vicarage Road since Friday.
The Watford Observer first reported in early April that the four youngsters had earned professional contracts with the Hornets.
