Lloyd Doyley was brought off during yesterday’s Capital One Cup clash against Stevenage as a precaution after the Hornets defender felt tightness in his hamstring.
Doyley was making his first appearance of the campaign but lasted just 29 minutes before being replaced by Joel Ekstrand.
Watford’s head of medical Marco Ceserini said after the game: “Lloyd felt some tightness in his hamstring so he decided not to carry on because it could cause it to get worse.
“He was brought off as a precaution and we will have an assessment with him tomorrow (Wednesday).”
