Former Watford boss Billy McKinlay is back in coaching after being confirmed as David Moyes’ assistant at Real Sociedad.
The 45-year-old joined the Hornets in September, initially as first-team coach to Oscar Garcia. He was rapidly elevated to the top job after the Spaniard resigned for health reasons, only to be axed eight days later and replaced by Slavisa Jokanovic.
The former Fulham and Northern Ireland coach links up with the ex-Manchester United and Everton boss, whose first game in charge at the La Liga club ended in a goalless draw against Deportivo La Coruna.
