Chairman’s Cup Group B

Bedmond defeated Watford Labour Club by the odd goal in five as three sides became locked together with six points each in Group B of the Chairman's Cup on Sunday.

The match had a dramatic start when Watford were awarded a penalty in the first minute but Mark Bedford saw his spot-kick saved by Jordan Keating.

Jordan Davies put the home side ahead after a quarter-of-an-hour, only for Labour to level five minutes later through Charles Linsley. But Davies scored his second of game to put Bedmond back in front by half-time.

An own goal from Linsley after the break meant he scored at both ends, but the game was not over and Labour railed and Paul Collett headed home late on. Despite heavy pressure on the Bedmond goal, Watford couldn’t find an equaliser.

United beat Dynamo Croxley 4-0 to go to the top of the group table on goal difference.

Darren O'Brien, Andrew Owusu, Will Keedy and goalkeeper Daniel James, with his second goal of the season, were the men on target.

Chairman’s Cup Group A

WD Athletic sealed their place in the semi-finals after they came from behind twice to beat Roundbush 5-2.

Shaun Osbourne give Bush an early lead which they held until Danny Hall equalised just before half-time.

Bush restored their advantage straight from the restart, with Blaise Shevington scoring, but WD hit back with goals from Aaron Berry, Pat Turner, Pat Armstrong and Alex Halifax.

Carpenders Park Rangers Reserves look set to make the last four, needing only a point from their remaining two games to make sure, after beating struggling Woodlands Laurels 5-1.

It would need Roundbush to win both of their final two games and need a massive 20-goal swing in the goal difference to deny Rangers their place after Jake Mole, Harley Mead, Sam Payne, Callum Little and Joe Barton scored in Sunday's win. Yash Stockdale netted the Laurels' reply.

Birkdale Trophies Challenge Cup Quarter-Finals

Both games saw 6-1 home wins, with Bovingdon coming back from a goal down to beat Meriden Ballers.

Alan Dunton put the visitors ahead and they held their advantage until the second half when the floodgates opened as Bovingdon scored six times through Tom Gray, Chris Truman, James Strivens, Chad Greatou and a double from Alan Tikerpae.

Prince George’s good season continued as Luke Everitt struck all six in their win over Hertfordshire Lions, whose consolation came from a late Dennis Fraser penalty.

Premier Division

Old Danes Athletic enjoyed a 3-0 victory over bottom-placed Inter and moved up to third in the table.

The goals came from a Colin Spooner brace and a single by Chris White.

Herts Sunday Intermediate Cup Round Two

At the third time of asking Cassiobury Revolution finally got to play Watford Sunday League side Green Dragon, but they are probably wishing they hadn't after a 7-0 defeat.
