KEVIN SORRELL says it will be 'just another Saracens season' if the Men in Black fail to cement a Guinness Premiership play-off place come 4.45pm on Saturday.

Alan Gaffney's side face a tricky test against at Sixways where Worcester will also be gunning for victory to enhance their survival hopes.

But Sorrell and his teammates will be fired up to the max for the crunch clash following Sunday's hard-to-swallow Euro Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to Bath.

The veteran centre was at the club the only time Sarries tasted silverware in 1998 and is determined to add a few more notable achievements to his CV before hanging up his boots. "I was 21 then and me and Hilly (Richard Hill) were in the stands looking after the wives and girlfriends of the other players," he recalled. "Winning the cup was a good experience and one I thought we were going to experience regularly. Unfortunately, it has not turned out that way.

"We're long overdue something but, as the gaffer has spelled out in no uncertain terms, if we don't front up we won't have achieved anything this season. Everyone is aware of that.

"If we make any more errors it will just be another Saracens season rather than being something special, so we're being careful and cautious not to pat oursleves on the back at this stage."

Sorrell recently signed a new deal to stay at the club until 2010 and warned they must not fall in to the trap of letting the current season become a flash in the pan.

"If we were to go downwards from here it would be disasterous," he added. "We're looking to improve all the time and that's what we must do."
