Watford Joggers’ Danny Ware finished the Beachy Head marathon on Saturday with time of 4.32.07.
On a tough course, reportedly containing ‘horrendous’ hills and ‘treacherous’ coastal paths, Ware was left pleased with his time.
Meanwhile, at the Rickmansworth ten-mile road race Richard Bird was the first over the line in at time of 1.07.24.
Brian James took home the MV60 award with a time of 1.09.51.
Mohammed Hanif ran the Luton half marathon in 1.45.09 while Jane Welch completed the Candleford Canter 10k in 53.59.
Elsewhere, Rod Hewson took third at St Albans park run in 25.05.
