BOREHAMWOOD made it three wins in a row on Friday, August1 0, after beating Garston 47-44 in a thrilling Watford and District Bowling Association Evening League Final.
After 21 ends, both teams found themselves level on 44 shots each, forcing an extra end to decide the winners.
With Borehamwood A 's Moseley's rink finishing first and scoring two shots, the pressure was put on to Garston although the Watford club responded by trailing the jack to hold two levelling shots.
However, with one shot to come, Borehamwood's R Edwards drew the bowl to give them a three-shot victory.
The victorious Borehamwood team was A Moseley, C Williams, N Harrison, K Sharp, R Edwards, R Price, A Muir and J Roe, while the runners-up consisted of D Pearson, A Starkey, K Liffen, D Harris, J Riley, L Chambers, T Spicer and R Heasman.
