Ellie Mason was a dual winner at Watford Ladies’ end-of-season awards on Friday, taking home two prizes.

The event, held in the Sir Elton John Suite at Watford’s Vicarage Road home, saw Mason land the Goal of the Season award for her strike in a 1-0 win at Aston Villa.

The midfielder was also clinched the club’s top scorer award for the Women’s Super League Two with five goals.

Stacie Donnelly was named Player of the Season after making 23 appearances since joining in February 2014.

Meanwhile, Leighanne Robe walked away with the McGinley’s Player of the Season trophy and Josie Green picked up fellow sponsors Benslow Care Homes’ Player of the Season title.

Grace Gillard was selected as Players’ Player of the Year having impressed her teammates during the season. The Most Improved Player award went to defender Amber Tullett.

The Young Player of the Year accolade went to midfielder Phoebe Read, while Shayla Burgess and Mollie Burgess also took home a trophy each, receiving Club Ambassador the Year and Foot Golf champion.

Outgoing manager John Salomon was also presented with gifts from the players and coaches after deciding to step down following more than seven years with the Lady Hornets in various capacities.
