New Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri described the fans as incredible after their support during the opening draw at Southampton.
The Hornets were backed by an away following of around 3,300 supporters at St Mary's this afternoon.
The Italian was full of admiration for the fans and believes their support can make the difference in the Premier League this season.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Mazzarri said: “It was beautiful. They were amazing.
"Before I came here I had already seen some videos of the Watford fans so I already knew how they were.
"They were incredible. I want to thank them all. I did it already and if they continue like this, as I’m sure they will, they are the 12th man on the pitch."
