Walter Mazzarri maintains his team suffered no distractions related to the allegations against Watford during the build-up to their 1-0 win over Hull City.
The Hornets are holding their own investigation into allegations of sending a fake bank letter to the Football League in 2014 which allowed Gino Pozzo to take sole control.
But head coach Mazzarri has insisted the players have not been distracted by this issue and were not worried by the reports in the media.
Speaking after his side's home win over Hull, the Italian said: “Believe me when I tell you that inside the club we’re all very calm.
"When we prepare for this game we didn’t even think about what was in the newspapers. My job and the players’ job is to work on the pitch.
"That’s what we do and not even one of the players asked me questions about what’s been in the newspapers."
The victory has taken the Hornets up to seventh in the Premier League table.
