Nordin Amrabat’s Morocco secured a 2-1 win over Slovakia as they continued their World Cup preparations in Switzerland.
The Watford winger, who spent last season on loan at La Liga side Leganes, played the full 90 minutes in a game which saw Morocco come from behind to win.
Slovakia went ahead through Jan Gregus’ goal before Ayoub El Kaabi and Younes Belhanda registered to turn the game around.
Amrabat and his compatriots play their final friendly game against Estonia on Saturday before commencing their World Cup campaign against Iran next Friday.
Meanwhile, Daryl Janmaat came on as a second half substitute to help the Netherlands play out a 1-1 draw with 10-man Italy.
The hosts took the lead in Turin thanks to Simone Zaza’s 67th minute effort, but the Dutch were handed a boost when Domenico Criscito was dismissed for a last-man foul on Ryan Babel.
They still had to wait until two minutes from time to snatch a draw when former Watford loanee Nathan Ake found the net.
With Holland not making it to the World Cup, Janmaat can now take time off before turning his focus back to matters with Watford and pre-season.
