Didier Ndong is reportedly set to complete a move to Torino after the Serie A club agreed a fee for the Sunderland midfielder.
An ill-fated loan switch to Watford in January saw Ndong fail to play a single game and make just three matchday squads during the second half of last season.
Ndong’s failure to make an impression at Vicarage Road meant a permanent deal was never likely to materialise and he was always expected to find pastures new.
The 23-year-old is now expected to complete a medical with the Turin club, who have been linked with a move for Watford’s Roberto Pereyra, before settling on personal terms.
With Sunderland now in League One, the Wearside club will be eager to jettison a player who made his desire to leave the club clear in January.
