It was an exciting weekend for seven of the 10 Watford FC Girls teams as they kicked off their debut seasons in the Herts Girls Football Partnership League.

The Under-9 Yellow girls played away to St Albans and goals from Ortiz, Rose and Millar ensured they finished their match with big smiles.

Baskiewicz had a memorable morning with five goals for the Under-9 Greens. Mitchell and Bird were also on target as they hosted Garston Ladies.

The Under-10s enjoyed an entertaining friendly at Pitshanger as Richman (4), Walker (3), Ogilvie-Charlesworth (2) and Bembridge all netted.

The Under-11s were also on their travels to Hoddesdon Town Owls, with Labastide (4), Ekendu-Obi and Reid on target in the team's first competitive match.

A Lussambo brace and a further goal from Amele saw Watford defeat Tottenham Hotspur Under-12s 3-0 at Sun Postal.

Honours ended even at 2-2 as Lemon and Beesening scored in the Hornets Under-13's trip to Garston.

There was a hat-trick each for Uwaifo and Xhema for the Under-15s as they put in a polished and hard-working performance against Denham Ladies. Karakus rounded off the scoring with a brace.

Carpenter scored a consolation goal for the Under-16s who suffered a 6-1 defeat away to London Bees.

After a disappointing opening away defeat the previous week for the Under-18s in the Greater London Women's Football League, they turned the tables in style at home on Sunday, defeating Bessingby Park Rangers 11-0 in Division Three North.

Graham opened the scoring within a minute and added two more to her tally. Williams hit four goals and there were further strikes by Knott, Reid, Fletcher and Buckley.
