Mike Dean will take charge of Watford’s Premier League meeting with Huddersfield Town at Vicarage Road.

The official has already overseen Watford once this season and showed Nemanja Matic a late red card in the Hornets’ 2-1 loss to Manchester United last month.

That was one of three red cards dished out by Dean this season and he has also brandished 34 yellow cards in eight outings in the 2018/19 campaign.

He refereed Watford just once last season, but still managed to leave a lasting impression as he sent off Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko in a memorable 4-1 win for the Hornets at Vicarage Road.

Watford will hope to match that results when the Terriers arrive in town, but have less than fond memories of entertaining Huddersfield, with the pairs’ last Vicarage Road meeting ending 4-1 to the visitors.
