Watford will travel to either Portsmouth or Queens Park Rangers in the fifth round of the FA Cup as they look to book a place in the quarter-final.

The result of this evening's draw sees Watford playing in their fifth away cup game this season.

The Hornets have never met Pompey in the FA Cup, but the last time the two sides met, Portsmouth won 2-0 back in January 2012.

Overall, Watford have won 18, drawn 12 and lost 21 against the League One side.

Pompey are managed by former Watford manager Kenny Jackett who also assisted Graham Taylor in getting the Hornets promoted in two successive seasons.

However, they will first have to overcome QPR at Loftus Road on Tuesday, February 5 if they are to progress.

Watford met the Hoops in the 1980 FA Cup third round and ran out 2-1 winners.

The last time the two sides met, QPR won 2-1 in the Championship in April, 2014.

Elsewhere, either Chelsea or Manchester United will be exiting the competition after they were drawn against one another.

The fifth round ties will be held between 15-18 February.
