Cucho Hernandez shone on what was elsewhere a quiet weekend for Watford's out-on-loan players.
The Colombian, who is currently plying his trade at La Liga's SD Huesca, set up two of four goals, as they thumped Vallodolid 4-0 in only their third league win of the season.
The 19-year-old has scored 17 times in 43 appearances for the Spanish outfit and his performance on Friday added to his already impressive showing before he was replaced on 77 minutes.
Meanwhile, in Italy, Stefano Okaka played 14 minutes off the bench as Udinese drew 1-1 with Fiorentina.
Also at the fellow Pozzo-owned club are Ben Wilmot and Marvin Zeegelaar who were both unused substitutes.
Alex Jakubiak played 15 minutes in Bristol Rovers' 2-1 away win at Southend, while in Germany Dodi Lukebakio came off the bench in the 68th minute as Fortuna Dusseldorf drew1-1 with Hoffenheim.
The only Watford loanee who played for a full 90 minutes was goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann, who featured for the entirety of Kilmarnock's 2-1 defeat at home against Hearts.
