Watford will be backed by an army of as many as 30,000 fans at the FA Cup final after confirming they will get an additional number of tickets for the May 18 showpiece against Manchester City.

The Golden Boys were initially given an allocation of 28,000 tickets, but the Hornets announced this evening that Wembley Stadium have advised them they will receive between 1,500 and 2,000 extra tickets for the final.

Watford state on their website: “Exact seat details will be built into the ticketing system mid-to-late next week, meaning that the last of the initial batch of 28,000 tickets currently available are still on sale.

“Given the wait for specific details relating to these extra tickets, Cup Final Group C buyers will not be penalised and will be given 24 more hours to buy after they’re built into the system.”

The Hornets add that further details will be publicised early next week.
