Watford youngster Sam Dalby scored a hat-trick on his second appearance for the Under-23s as they drew 3-3 with Red Bull Leipzig over the weekend.

The 19-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Hornets this summer, as he joined the development squad alongside winger Joseph Hungbo, midfielder Henry Wise and full-backs Jamal Balogun and Cameron Green.

In a friendly against Leipzig, Dalby found the net three times as he began life with Watford in style, following his debut against St Albans just a few days before.

The former Leyton Orient man joined Leeds in January 2018, but was allowed to leave permanently this summer after spending the second half of last season on loan with Morecambe.
