Watford midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has been linked with a loan move to Premier League newcomers Norwich City and Sheffield United.

Chalobah is currently down the pecking order at Vicarage Road with the 24-year-old restricted to 13 appearances last season.

The form of Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure last season gave Chalobah few opportunities to impress for Javi Gracia's side.

Despite coming off the bench in England's 3-2 win in Spain during the Nations League in October, Chalobah was unable to feature regularly for Watford in the Premier League.

Newly-promoted Norwich and Sheffield United have reportedly shown an interest in Chalobah and it has been claimed a move for the midfielder before Thursday's transfer window shuts could be in the offing.

Chalobah joined Watford two years ago for £5million from Chelsea having enjoyed a successful loan spell at Vicarage Road during the 2012/13 campaign.
