Danny Welbeck will join Watford on a two-year deal after agreeing terms with the club, it has been reported.
The 28-year-old is currently a free agent following his release from Arsenal at the end of last season, but reports now suggest the striker has agreed to join the Hornets.
Last night, odds on the player joining Watford were slashed amid reports of discussions between the player and the club and now it is thought those talks have progressed to the point of an agreement.
It has been reported that a deal will be completed today and that the player will sign a two-year deal.
The former Manchester United attacker's career has been hampered by several serious injuries and he only made 14 appearances last season for the Gunners under Unai Emery.
Welbeck featured twice last season for England, coming off the bench in the Nations League defeat to Spain and starting the friendly win over Switzerland in September.
