A drab affair between Watford and Bournemouth saw both sides fail to find the net, as the Hornets' quest for their first win continues.

Despite looking steady at the back once again, Watford fell well short going forward, with poor decision making at the heart of their problems.

Here's how we rated their individual performances.

Ben Foster - 7

After being partly responsible for Spurs' equaliser last weekend, the goalkeeper put in a good shift to keep Bournemouth out when they were at their most threatening.

Daryl Janmaat - 6

The Dutch full-back was arguably one of Watford's better players going forward, although he lost possession in some good advanced positions.

He also left quite a bit of space in behind and did struggle to get back on occasions.

Christian Kabasele - 6.5

Another solid performance from a man who's fast becoming one of Watford's most consistent players this season since the return of Quique Sanchez Flores.

Craig Dawson - 6

A commanding effort against one of the league's most threatening sides from set-pieces.

He regularly cut out crosses and prevented the Cherries from creating chances in the air.

Craig Cathcart - 6

The stand-in skipper is working well as part of the back three, who all seem much more comfortable playing alongside one another.

A steady enough performance when required.

Adam Masina - 5

Filling in for Holebas, Masina defended okay, but offered little going forward.

Several moves broke down in the first half because he failed to provide an outlet.

Nathaniel Chalobah - 5

Neither side managed to control the game in the midfield and Chalobah was largely anonymous before he was substituted. He also gave the ball away cheaply more than once.

Tom Cleverley - N/A

Had to depart due to injury after only ten minutes.

Abdoulaye Doucoure - 5.5

His decision making and shooting were awful in attack and he was also guilty of squandering possession frequently.

Defensively he pitched in on occasion, but fans will have expected more after last week's showing.

Roberto Pereyra - 6

Full of running, but not a lot else. His passing was poor and he lacked his usual creativity. Failed to produce much of note.

Gerard Deulofeu - 6.5

Looked tricky on occasion and did cause some problems, but is still desperately short of confidence.

Substitutes

Will Hughes - 5.5

Offered little in midfield after coming on and was as profligate in possession as those alongside him in the centre of the park.

Andre Gray - 5

A striker who looks unable to play without a Troy deeney style partner to feed off and at the moment is struggling to adapt to a very different game.

Dimitri Foulquier - N/A

Joined too late to make an impact.
