Watford were much improved in their away defeat at Liverpool, but ultimately a continuation of their problems in front of goal saw them fail to make the most of some clear-cut chances.
Here's how we rated their performances.
Ben Foster - 7
The keeper played his part in a solid defence that managed to limit the chances of Liverpool's potent strike force. Not a lot he could've done to prevent either goal.
Adrian Mariappa - 7
Deployed out of position in the right back position, but ultimately performed well, considering the opponents he was tasked with keeping tabs on.
Christian Kabasele - 8
Made some vital challenges and frustrated the likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino for large parts of the match. Again, not a lot he could've done with either goal.
Craig Cathcart - 7
A very steady performance from Cathcart, who certainly played his part in preventing the hosts from creating too much.
Kiko Femenia - 6.5
Was caught out of position again more than he should have been, but still played an important part out of position on the left.
Abdoulaye Doucoure - 4.5
Another poor performance from the Frenchman, who missed a clear chance to put the Hornets in front just moments before Salah's first goal.
Etienne Capoue - 6
Played some aimless passes, but on the whole did well enough in the centre against Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum.
Will Hughes - 7
Worked hard both in attack and defence, making some vital challenges and linking play well.
Gerard Deulofeu - 6
Got into some good positions, but his end product was lacking once again. Missed a one-on-one in the second-half and looked exhausted long before the final whistle.
Ismaila Sarr - 7
Was a good outlet on the right and caused some problems for Liverpool, but was a bit too lightweight at times.
Troy Deeney - 6
Had a difficult battle with Virgil Van Dijk, but failed to make too much of an impact on proceedings. Still struggling in the wake of his injury.
SUBS:
Andre Gray - 6
Made some good runs after coming on and could have picked out a decent pass had Doucoure bothered to move for it.
Domingos Quina - N/A
