Joao Pedro has arrived in England as he prepares to do his bit to help Watford retain their Premier League status.

The Brazilian teenager's arrival has been much anticipated since terms were agreed between the Hornets and Fluminense back in October 2018 and it is now surely only a matter of time before supporters will get their first glimpse of him at Vicarage Road.

Since agreeing terms with Watford, Joao Pedro has impressed in his native Brazil, scoring a hat-trick and a famous bicycle kick as he endeared himself to the Fluminense fans.

It is believed he will be eligible for the game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Years Day, but it could be that he makes his debut in the FA Cup clash with Tranmere the weekend after, depending on how keen Nigel Pearson is to use his new addition.

However, he is likely to be introduced to the home fans this Sunday during the home game against Manchester United.

Between the Hornets agreeing a deal for the youngster and his arrival today, a number of reports of hijacked bids from the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona have been a source of concern for some, but a visit to Vicarage Road from his parents earlier this year put a stop to that. The youngster has a five year deal with Watford which officially begins on January 1, 2020.
