Watford struggled to make the most of their chances as they were beaten away at Reading on Saturday.

Here's how we rated their individual performances.

Ben Foster - 6

Not a lot he could've done about Reading's goal and didn't have a great deal else to do.

Kiko Femenia - 6.5

Came in for the injured Ken Sema and looked good going forward, particularly in the first half. Much like the rest of his teammates, needs to work on his end product.

Ben Wilmot - 6

The defender did most of what he had to do well, but struggled to keep up with Meite's pace at times. Also picked up a silly yellow card.

Christian Kabasele - 6.5

Looked solid enough in the centre of defence. Could have done better to prevent Reading from scoring, but on the whole didn't have a bad game.

Craig Cathcart - 6.5

Made a couple of sloppy passes and gave the ball away more than he ought to have, but defensively he wasn't bad. Perhaps could've done better for the goal as well.

Jeremy Ngakia - 6

Attacked well, but missed arguably Watford's best chance to score early on.

James Garner - 7

Good passing again from Garner and was so unlucky not to score. His set pieces will produce goals this season.

Nathaniel Chalobah - 6

Some good passing from Chalobah, but got wound up very easily. Lost his head a bit towards the end.

Tom Dele-Bashiru - 7

The best player on the pitch before he went off injured, which no doubt contributed to the defeat.

Ismaila Sarr - 6.5

A lot of positive work from the 22-year-old, but end product was missing. One of those whose decision making needed to be much better.

Joao Pedro - 6

Some good movement from the striker, but was feeding off scraps. Couldn't make the most of other chances.

SUBS

Ken Sema - 6.5

Looked lively after his arrival and made some good passes, but again his decision making and end product weren't what they ought to have been.

Tom Cleverley - 5

Couldn't put his mark on the game after his arrival.

Glenn Murray - N/A

Arrived too late to make an impact.
