Watford are aware of Cardiff City's threat from set pieces, but are more focused on how they can cause problems to their opponents, according to Xisco Munoz.

The Hornets travel to the Welsh capital tomorrow as they begin their final 11 games of the season against the first side to beat them at Vicarage Road during the current campaign.

While the Bluebirds have amassed an impressive tally of 22 goals from set pieces so far, including the winning strike at the Vic back in December, Munoz wants his players to remain focused on their game and limit the home side's opportunities through possession.

"We need to stay focused and pay attention with the set pieces," said the head coach. "We need to give them more problems. I think we have our style, we have our things, we have our players and we are hungry because we want to continue to take the points.

"We know in front we have a very good team and we need an important performance for us against Cardiff. Always we have our style, we have our tactics, we have our players.

"It's important that every time we put our players in the best condition and the best options for them. Our players have very good things with the ball. We try to stay more time with the ball. We know exactly what we want, and what is the problems we want to give them."

Munoz is very respectful of what Cardiff boss Mick McCarthy has achieved since arriving at Cardiff.

The former Wolves and Ireland boss has guided his new club through an 11 game unbeaten run and the Watford head coach is not expecting things to be easy.

"We have big respect for him," he said. "He's a big coach and I know every time he has very good work. We have an amazing challenge in our next game because I know that Cardiff is fit, they play well and also they are a competitive team.

"It's the moment to give our best level in the Championship.

"We need to take our best to take these important three points for us."
