Watford will need to play as a team again today if they are to continue their winning run away at Middlesbrough, claims goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.

The Austrian watched on as the Hornets beat the Boro in the opening match of the season at Vicarage Road, but remembers how difficult Neil Warnock's side were to break down that day, with Craig Cathcart's header just enough to divide the two teams.

However, he feels the change in attitude on display in their last 11 games is proof enough of a side playing for one another and that that could be the difference.

“It's been a big change in last three or four months,” Bachmann told the club website. “We feel good as a team, we've got a good spirit and we support each other. We know we have the quality, but now we have the fighting spirit and we are playing as a team.

Watford Observer:

“It will be a tough game. It was quite close in the first game of the season and we scored from a set-piece, which just shows the little details make the difference. It will be a difficult game again and you know what to expect from a Neil Warnock team: how they will set up."

Should Watford stick to their game plan and play as well as they have since sparking their impressive run back in February, Bachmann feels they should have enough quality to pick up a win that would equal their longest consecutive run of league victories.

“We'll have to be patient, move the ball and be focused on limiting their chances and set-pieces," he said. "But if we do the dirty work, stick together, then our quality should shine through. We are going there to try and get the three points.”
