Watford winger Ignacio Pussetto has extended his loan with Udinese by a further year.

The Argentine arrived from the Italian club in January 2020 but returned on a temporary basis at the start of last season.

In May the Watford Observer revealed that it was expected he would remain with Udinese beyond his current deal, which officially expires at the end of today, although a decision regarding the terms of him remaining in Italy had not been decided at that point.

This afternoon the Hornets have officially announced that the winger will be staying in Serie A on loan for a further year.

Remaining in Italy is Pussetto's preference as well.

At the start of this month he said he wanted to develop with Udinese after he recovers from an anterior cruciate ligament injury that kept him out for the end of last season.

"Personally, I want to continue in Italy, to continue making a career in Europe and hopefully I can continue to grow there and come back well from this injury," he told El Espectador Deportes 100.1.
