Cucho Hernandez is expected to be in Watford's squad this season and will arrive for pre-season training soon.

The Colombian striker signed a new long-term deal with the Hornets back in August 2019 before he was sent out on loan to Real Mallorca.

Reports in Spain have suggested that Granada are interested in taking the 22-year-old on loan for the upcoming campaign, but the Watford Observer understands that he is expected to be part of the Premier League squad this season.

The club could still have their arm twisted by a hugely impressive offer should one arrive, but currently they are preparing for him to be included in the team.

The extended contract signed by Hernandez in 2019 was awarded off the back of two seasons on loan at Huesca, during which he scored 20 goals in 70 appearances, including strikes against both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Since then he has scored seven goals in 47 appearances during loan spells at both Mallorca and then Getafe the following season.

He is not yet with the squad for pre-season training but is expected to arrive within the next couple of weeks.

Watford Observer:

One player who is with the squad and is training is Tom Dele-Bashiru, who has fully recovered from the anterior cruciate ligament damage sustained in the 1-0 defeat away at Reading at the start of last October.

The Nigerian underwent surgery to repair the injury before working on his fitness, first in Manchester, and then back at the London Colney training ground.

Watford Observer:

He should be available to play in the pre-season friendlies, which begin later this month with a home match against West Bromwich Albion on July 24.
